MIKE ROWE'SOFT: THE BUDDING CAPITALIST
MIKE ROWE'SOFT: THE BUDDING CAPITALIST
In an apparent attempt to further capitalize upon his fame, the teenage target of Microsoft's horrendous PR nightmare (i.e. a trademark cease & desist letter) Mike Rowe has put Microsoft's cease and desist letter up for auction on Ebay. As of Thursday morning, the bidding was up to $2,200 - not bad when you add in the fact that Microsoft has given Mr. Rowe an XBox, a trip to Microsoft headquarters and has reimbursed Mr. Rowe for his expenses in setting up his original website. Fox News Online has a nice blurb about the situation.
1.30.04 (2:10 CST) Update: Price currently stands at $28,500. How many people now want to get cease & desist letters?
2.02.04 (7:08 CST) Update: Price dropped to $500 as Mr. Rowe deleted all non-serious bidders and has restarted the auction.
