infringing into starbucks' realm

from the Taipei Times:

Starbucks has filed a complaint with local authorities over an alleged trademark and copyright infringement against its local rival E-Coffee.

"The US [Starbucks corporate headquarters] directly commissioned its local attorney to file a complaint over E-Coffee's trademark registration, as the similarity in logos misleads consumers."

E-Coffee’s response is that numerous companies use logos with smaller circles inside bigger circles.  What do you think?  Likelihood of confusion?
